"The Wanderer!"

Epic #48, February 1989 ($1.00)
Poem:
"For years, he's wandered here and there-
Reactions are the same-
The people get an awful scare-
At the mention of his name-
Whatever's fixed will soon be broke-
He never stops to think-
He'll send your village up in smoke-
And make your ships all sink.
His brain is smaller, than a mouse-
His swords a bloody blur-
A plague of locusts on your house-
Is something you'd prefer.
Although he'd like a place to stay-
His fame has only grown-
And now he seeks to go away-
To where he isn't known-
And should he find some people who-
Don't recognize his face-
This town that hasn't heard of Groo-
Must be a happy place."

Moral:
"Your reputation is what you make of it...
and what you choose to take with you."
