The folks all fear- This privateer-
This jinx of great reknown-
He slays the hordes- With mighty swords-

Within a wink- The ships all sink-
The sailors on them drown-
The villains fret- Their victims sweat-
When Groo comes into town.
They watch as he- Slays carelessly-
And burns their village down-
The people grieve- And hope he'll leave-
When Groo comes into town."
