"Groo and the Siege"

Epic #19, September 1986 ($0.75)
Poem:
"The word came through the grapevine
That her city would be sacked-
Grooella knew her village
Could not stand if sneak-attacked.
And so she called her brother
And he came there on the run.
The call to Groo was not the
Smartest thing she'd ever done.
He vowed that he'd defend it
With his brains and awesome power.
And wure enough, the enemy
Had won within the hour.
And with her city taken,
Queen Grooella's wrath went wild.
She prayed that she'd become
A retro-active only child."

Moral:
"It matters not how grand your plans
when they are built on a faulty foundation."
