"Groo and the Siege (second try)"

Epic #20, October 1986 ($0.75)
Poem:
"A solemn muse brought awful news-
To Queen Grooella's study.
Said he, "My Liege, the coming siege-
Will leave us beat and bloody."
Said she, "We need a man to lead-
A hero like no other!"
They searched around but none was found-
And so she called her brother.
He came at once, this fearless dunce-
To fight the ones who pillage.
And very soon, the Queen's commune-
Was ousted from their village.
Their evil foes, the Cominos-
Had seized her home and city.
If ever you should invite Groo-
Your friends will all have pity."

Moral:
"When you invite relatives, they never seem to leave your home,
so long as it is still standing."
