Epic #27, May 1987 ($1.00)
"His voice has wings-
And when he sings-
His tunes are loved sincerely-
But there is one-
Who has begun-
To hate the Minstrel dearly.
His words, you see-
Are poetry-
Precisely rhymed and clever-
But it is tough
to write this stuff-
Takes Evanier forever.
Since half past two,
he's fumbled through-
His rhyming dictionary.
And found that "Mulch"-
Just rhymes with "gulch"
It's far from literary.
At ten past nine-
He starts to whine-
By midnight, Mark is weeping,
"I need a rhyme-
There is no time-
For things like food and sleeping!"
By one o'clock-
He has a block-
By two, he is resigning-
At almost four-
He'll take no more-
He feels his health declining-
He takes a stance-
If, by, some chance,
The Minstrel doesn't vanish-
Then Mark will go-
And Sergio-
Can write this stuff in Spanish."

"Sorry, no moral."
