"Wishes"

Epic #35, January 1988 ($1.00)
Poem:
"If you had a wish to use-
What exactly would you choose?
This is what we had to know-
So we asked both friend and foe-
Asked each person who'd met Groo-
What exactly they would do.
You would think they'd wish for health,
Either that or untold wealth.
Or perhaps to spread their name-
Many people dream of fame.
Others dream of strength and power-
Wondrous foods they can devour-
Beauty, fame and gold collected-
Were the answers we expected-
But the people that we polled-
Did not wish for looks or love-
Nothing of the things above-
But one answer did we hear:
"I wish Groo would disappear!"

Moral:
"Even the most powerful being
is at the mercy of the weakest."
