"Mealtime"
Epic #38, April 1988 ($1.00)
Poem:
"You can talk of heroes bold-
Or the knights in days of old-
Or the warriors we're told
Fought and slew.
But when you find a hero-
With an I.Q. under zero-
Just start fiddling like Nero-
'Cause it's Groo.
In a fight or in a fray-
He will come to save the day-
You will beg him not to stay
And help you.
But he'll stay and have a battle-
'Til your bones begin to rattle-
He is not as smart as cattle-
'Cause he's Groo.
For it's Groo, Groo, Groo-
He's the one who never knows What to do.
Give him credit, give him blame-
They are pretty much the same-
Run if you should hear his name-
'Cause he's Groo."
Moral:
"You never know what love is until you lose it."
