"A Groo's Best Friend"

Epic #39, May 1988 ($1.00)
Poem:
"Yesterday, the barefoot cretin-
Thought Rufferto had been eaten.
Groo sat down and like a hog-
Ate some food he thought was dog.
Stricken with a great remorse-
Groo went out to fight, of course.
But his dog had been no snack-
Two men put him in a sack-
As they went for a reward,
Groo was busy with his sword.
Didn't know his dog was living-
Groo's whole life is one misgiving."

Moral:
"The best thing about being apart is getting together again."
