"The Glass Carafe"

Epic #40, June 1988 ($1.00)
Poem:
"Who is the smartest fighter?
(Well, it can't be Groo.)
A poet and a writer?
(Well, it can't be Groo.)
Who is a great romancer?
Almost anyone would answer-
That it can't be Groo.
Who is an utter ninny?
(Well, it must be Groo.)
A peak of ignominy?
(Well, it must be Groo.)
Who is the dumbest being?
Sends his enemies all fleeing?
While they're fleeing they're agreeing-
That it must be Groo.
Who is the learned scholar?
(Well, it can't be Groo.)
A man who know no squalor?
(Well, it can't be Groo.)
Who'd never think of treason?
Is a man for every season?
Then it only stands to reason-
That it can't be Groo.
Who always is offending?
(Well, that could be Groo.)
A man whose life is ending?
(Well, that should be Groo.)
Who hasn't a diploma?
Acts as if he's in a coma?
You can tell by the aroma-
That it must be Groo."

Moral:
"A little work with your brain can
save you a lot of work with your body."
