"It is not an untrue rumor-
That the source of mirth and humor
Is to laugh at someone else's misery.
For to laugh at their dismaying-
Is another way of saying-
'I am glad it happened to you, not me.'
It is not that we're malicious-
But most humor's rather vicious-
This is known to every jester, foole and clown.
Groo is known to fill each rafter-
With the sound of laughter-
Just as long as he is nowhere near that town."

"We laugh at stupidity because the alternative is to cry over it."
