"The Great Invention"

Image #6, May 1995 ($1.95)
Poem:
"There was a time when any horde
Would live or die by dint of sword
For swords were the best weapon Man possessed.
But prossess betters many ills
And also how our specied kills
A swordman now is less than second best.
Now, way back in time of Groo
A sword was all the people knew
And frankly, they did not find swords deficient.
But know instead of slashing frays
Out science knows so many ways
To make the act of killing more efficient."

Moral:
"Sometimes, a setback can be the greatest form of progress."
